Slice of Life Day 15

SOL

Nothing,

waiting for

something,

all

day

long.

Eating at me.

Even now,

I’m sittin’ here,

nothing

to say.

My pillow is calling me.

Big, sleepy

yawns are

pulling me under

the covers.

Nothing

can stop

these eye-watering

yawns.

They keep on coming

over and over again.

My brain’s telling me

I must

go

to

sleep.

Hope

my little poem

reminds you that

poems

can be made

into something

out of

nothing.

  1. So funny. I feel the same way tonight…and resorted to expounding upon thoughts of trying out Macbook stickies today. A whole slice. Macbook stickies. I slid in under the wire at 11:58 last night. I almost felt like reposting that one today because late pieces don’t have much of an audience… 😉 I’m yawning too. I loved your poem, by the way. It was perfect.

  2. Are you feeling that this poem is a bit like Seinfeld? A show about noting, a poem about nothing? It is about something, no one thing jumps out of your day at this time. Love the single word lines, really gives emphasis to the idea expressed.
